Legend says that high in the Himalayas at Gosainkunda the god Shiva drove his trident into the ground to create three springs – the source of the river and hence its name Trishuli. Not far after this source, the Trishuli joins the Bhotekoshi that flows from Tibet; the two rivers joining in some pretty fearsome-looking gorges that are visible on the way up to the Langtang Trek.
By Betrawati the gradient has eased and after this, it becomes a more mature and powerful river which later adds many other major rivers to its flow – the Budhigandaki, the Marsyandi, and the Seti. When the Kali Gandaki joins it, shortly before the plains, it changes its name to the Narayani. Here, it is a truly mighty river – peak flows in the Monsoon have been measured at 25,700 cu. mecs (extreme, instantaneous discharge); about 900,000 cubic feet per second water flow.
The river has carved some truly impressive gorges in its lower part as it cut its way through the 2000-meter high Mahabharat Range. These gorges are also the route followed by the Prithvi Highway, the main highway from India to Kathmandu, and the roar of diesel trucks undoubtedly detract from a river trip – happily for much of the river the highway is some way from the river itself. The opposite side of the road is relatively wild and uninhabited and should see plenty of wildlife, a profusion of colorful birds, including eagles and vultures – especially true if you continue on down into Chitwan National Park where you may see crocodiles and rhinos by the riverside.

Day Rafting Trip Detail Itinerary
O7:00 AM: Daily tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara/Chitwan leaves from Shorakhutee, which is also the tourist bus park in Kathmandu. The bus takes around 3 hours to reach Charaudi/Bairani which is the starting point of Rafting.
10:00 AM: Reach the resort and get freshen. You will be welcomed by a cup of tea/Coffee in the resort. Get relaxed for a couple of minutes waiting for other travelers to reach the resort.
11:00 AM: You will be joining instruction by our experienced rafting guide before the trip starts. Kindly listen to all the given instructions carefully before entering the river. Changing clothes for rafting and wear a life jacket with a helmet with a proper lock.

Day 1
12:00 PM: Trip Starts from Kathmandu towards Trishuli River for an overnight trip with your family/friends. The total distance between Kathmandu to Trishuli is 80 KM and can be reached within 2-3 hours from Kathmandu. If you are traveling from Pokhara then the time take a bit more, which will be 4 hours and 2 hours from Chitwan.
03:00 PM: Once you reach the resort, we will be welcomed by tea/coffee. Our staff will allocate the tent/room as per your package for you where you can put your luggage and explore the resort. You can swim in our beautiful swimming pool and enjoy the evening or take participate in any of the available sports inside the resort.
06:00 PM: Snacks buffet is available where you can pick the items of your choice. Soft and hard drinks are available in the restaurant bar to enjoy the evening with snacks.
07:00 PM: DJ Music starts in the resort where you can participate in the dance and spend the night with the flow. Drinks are available in the bar which can be purchased by paying directly.

The best time for the Trishuli river Rafting Package is September, October, November, February, March, April, and May. We strongly recommend these months for white water rafting in Trishuli. The water level remains calm and clear in these mention months.
Besides these months, December and January are often cold so water rafting in the river is not a wise idea. And the other months are June, July, and August Nepal receives heavy rainfall so the water level in the river goes high so we don’t recommend in these months too for Rafting in Trishuli.
