Itinerary of Sailung Tour Package
Day 1: Kathmandu to Bhaise – 7 HRS Drive
Drive early morning from Kathmandu to Bhaise which takes approx 7 hours drive. The total distance covered in this journey is 130 KM. We will have our lunch on the way to Sailung. Enjoy our evening in the nearby village before going to Sailung Danda.
Day 2: Explore the Sailung and Return Back to Kathmandu
Today, we will wake up early and drive short towards the hill station. Once we reached the starting point, we will hike towards Sailung hill. On the way to the hill, there is a Mahadev temple where you can pay homage before reaching the viewpoint.
Explore the surrounding of Sailung with amazing mountain views and return back to the hotel and drive back to Kathmandu.
Accommodation in Sailung Trip
If you are planning to visit Sailung and wondering about the accommodation, then, we suggest you book your accommodation in an advance. There are few standard guest houses in this area that can accommodate a limited number of travelers.
Do not expect a luxury resort with modern amenities in this area. Tourism activities are crawling slowly in this area so there are limited guest houses for travelers. You can find the accommodation from free if you take a meal in this hotel or some of the guest house charges Rs 500 per person which offers dinner, breakfast along with accommodation.

You can plan your visit to Sailung route for the year. Every season offers different types of experiences in visiting Sailung.
The Winter season is the perfect time to explore sailing because of heavy snowfall. All the surrounding is covered with fresh snowfall so that you can fulfill your quest of playing with snow in this time.
And if you are traveling in the spring season then all the forest and surroundings are pained with the red color of the Rhododendron flower which is another amazing reason to travel Saulung.
Monsoon seasons are not recommended to travel Sailung due to the road condition and remoteness of the place. Road gets slippery and unpaved red mud road is not ideal for the monsoon to welcome travelers.
How to reach Sailung from Kathmandu?
The distance from Kathmandu to Sailung is only 130 whoever due to road condition, the travel times takes 7 hours approx to reach. The road condition till Ramechap is good but you need to travel unpaved dusty road till Sailung from Ramechhap.
There are not public transfers from Kathmandu available so the only option is to hire a jeep from Kathmandu to Sailung to enjoy the natural beauty.
The trail goes like Bhaktapur – Dhulikhel – Pachkhal – Simle – Dolalghat – Sukute – Kharichaur – Mude – Bhaise which is the last place to stop. From there, after a short ride, you need to hike all the way to Sailung hill.
